2009-2010 Energy Tax Credit1

Beginning January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010, you can replace your home's old windows and doors with select D&W windows and doors that may qualify for a tax credit up to $1,500 on your 2009 or 2010 federal income tax return.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 extends federal tax credits for eligible building components. The new law includes specific requirements including a U-Factor equal to or below 0.30 and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) equal to or below 0.30 in all climate zones in the U.S. The approved bill includes the ability for homeowners to gain a tax credit of 30 percent of the cost of qualifying energy-efficient upgrades to a maximum of $1,500 per household for 2009 and 2010.
